Varian Medical Systems is a medical technology company that is focused on saving lives. Their innovations have furthered in the fight against cancer, provided vital X-ray imaging, and continue to offer top-of-the-line technological solutions to medical care. Varian is established worldwide with solid relationships with clinicians and manufacturers, and is highly respected in the medical device industry.
Founded in 1937, Varian is constantly moving forward. Originally focused on helping in the war effort, the Varian brothers built a powerful machine for generating microwaves. The company has gone on to manufacture equipment for astronauts and the moon landing, X-ray tubes for hospitals, an Emmy Award-winning TV transmitter, medical treatment software and hardware, paperless medical technology, and recently engineered an advanced and affordable radiotherapy device – VitalBeam™.
Due to the highly successful relationship with Oxford Engineering so far, Varian happily renewed and extended their contract with us. This 2-year, multi-million-dollar contract will make Oxford Engineering the exclusive supplier worldwide, outside of the United States. Oxford Engineering will be working specifically with the oncology department of Varian, which will allow us to become pioneers of medical technology advancements alongside Varian.
