The CEO of Oxford Engineering Inspires Students at Venture Day
May 18 / 2016
Chief Executive Office Karim Sekkat was pleased to answer questions and speak frankly about business planning at Venture Day 2016. Oxford Engineering’s top man was invited to join several other notable panelists in a discussion on “supergrowth.”
Mr. Sekkat led his part of the panel with a detailed outline of the state of his company when he took possession. He explained that his first company used to service only one customer. This was a problem for growth, which Mr. Sekkat immediately set out to fix. He created an in-depth action plan that helped Oxford Engineering not only differentiate their client base, but helped inspire supergrowth within the company.
Venture Day is a conference held by Cranfield School of Management. In the wide auditorium it was clear that students sat in rapt attention to the speakers. It is not every day when the CEOs and management of hugely successful companies take time to share business insight with students. Mr. Sekkat agreed with the other panelists that knowing the environment and how a specific business fits inside it is paramount to creating growth within that company. The panelists also recommended that students create a scalable venture that looks to the future for direction and that good business management acquires the proper resources to meet the needs of the company.
Mr. Sekkat was happy to be part of student growth and will is excited to connect with students again in the future.
