Slashing carbon emissions by 31.5 percent in 2010
July 9 / 2010
Oxford Engineering is pleased to announce its commitment to reduce its carbon emissions by another 123 tonnes per annum following from its success in reducing 27 tonnes earlier in the year. Total reduction for 2010 will be a whopping 31.5%.
The UK is committed to a 20% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2020 compared to 1990 levels. So although we know that we have already done in 2010 more than doubling the targets set for the country in 10 years time…we will continue in our strive for excellence.
All recommendations made by the Carbon Trust have been fully accepted and a further commitment to the future has been made. Capital expenditure will be met in full and a new Energy Management Policy will be created to champion, make aware, monitor and target energy consumption and reduction.
